Linky is a hosted Discord bot that fixes Instagram, TikTok and X link previews. Drop a link into the chat; Linky reposts it with credit to the person who shared it.

No hosting or downloads needed. An admin enables Linky after adding it. It sends no welcome message.

    Spot the link

    Linky checks new messages for supported post links. It skips bots and edited messages.

  2. 02

    Post a replacement

    It changes the URL, removes tracking text and reposts the message with credit to its sender.

  3. 03

    Clear the original

    The original is removed only after the replacement succeeds. A failed repost leaves it in place.

Linky is already hosted. Add it to your Discord server, then run this command as an admin to enable it in the channels it can access.

Run once, as admin/setup enabled: true

Use /setup enabled: false to turn it off. Setup replies are private.

Is Linky free, and do I need to host it?

The hosted Linky bot is free to add. You do not need to download code or run a server. Self-hosting is optional.

Why is Linky quiet after I add it?

Linky sends no welcome message and starts disabled. A server admin runs /setup enabled: true, then shares a new supported link. The setup guide explains permissions and channel access.

Does it translate Discord messages?

No. Optional English translation applies to tweets. It does not translate general chat, Instagram captions or TikTok captions.

Will every link show a preview?

No. Private or deleted posts, unsupported URLs and unavailable preview services can prevent an embed. See how to check a failed link.
